These are a PLA printed product produced in house by our very reliable and well tuned FDM 3D printers. We strive for quality, and thus all our terrain is printed in 1mm layer heights, which is 2-3 times higher quality then the majority of printers you would find elsewhere, for usually less then half the price charged by others. The surface quality of our prints is excellent, and we encourage you to examine our example pictures quality to see for yourself. These 3D printed products are excellent value, comparing or sometimes even beating the much more common cardstock/matboard/mdf laser cut terrain systems offered elsewhere, while being MUCH more durable and capable of lasting forever.
Steel Warrior Studios is an officially licensed 3D printing vendor for the Dicey Ventures Sci-Fi terrain range.
In an effort to support our partners in anyway we can, if you own a 3D printer and would like to purchase the STL's to print these buildings yourself, please check out our friends at Dicey Ventures Studios at the following link:
I ordered this a little while back held off on my review until I threw some paint on a couple to really get an idea of how they would look and I\'m very happy. You get a great comb... view moreination of buildings in this bundle of various sizes and heights and plenty enough to fill a table. I use Heroscape tiles for my games and these building fit within the tiles nicely. While this is my first time purchasing 3d printed terrain I was concerned about print lines, and well there are some present after priming and painting they\'re negligible, in fact I decided to use a layered dry brush on them as this is how I\'ve done other terrain in the past and it turned out amazing, the slight ridges actually give the look of poured concrete, and in the windows and other details I\'d done without a drybrush you can\'t tell they\'re there at all. I\'ve also done a double layer of rustoleum primer on a few buildings and it basically fills the lines for you without any extra work needed. Overall I can\'t recommend this bundle enough, especially for the price, and I\'ll defiantly be grabbing more terrain soon. view less
Recently ordered this large set of terrain for use with my many 6mm and 8mm systems (CBT, Epic and Titanicus), the scale feels at home with all systems despite the increased size o... view moref AT18.The print quality is good, and on par with other contemporary offerings. If you\'re a perfectionist like me you should know that the horizontal print lines are slight and given the relative (to scale) size of the building facings it does appear that smoothing it over will not be a large endeavor. It\'s a great mix of buildings, and I especially love the smaller 1 level buildings as I feel like there is a void in the market for the smaller stuff. The aesthetic is Battletech though and through, I will however incorporate these pieces in my other small scale games as well, but they are not as gothic as some systems may prefer. This set has a substantial value, and should be on every small scale sci-fi gamer\'s radar. view less
